Safe Zone Reference
A free overlay for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok that shows where the app buttons and captions will cover your video
How to use it
The PNG is a 9:16 vertical frame with a see-through middle. Put it on the top track of your timeline in whatever you edit with (Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut) and scale it to fill the frame. Hide or delete it before you export.
The dark areas are where the apps put their own stuff: the bar across the top, the like, comment, and share buttons down the right side, and your username, caption, and audio info along the bottom. Anything you place there can get covered. Keep captions, faces, and on-screen text inside the clear area.
TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook each lay things out a little differently and change it now and then, so treat this as a safe margin, not a pixel-perfect map.
